How to save the configuration of HP ProCurve Switch 2524

I want to save the config file(s) of a Procurve 2524 switch. I need this as backup.

Can someone tell me how to do it?

if you want to save a backup of the config of your Switch, you should have a TFTP server in order for you to upload/download the config of your switch.

Hi Erwin,

The command "copy startup-config tftp 1.2.3.4" (where 1.2.3.4 is the ip address of your tftp server) will copy the configuration file from the flash of the switch to the tftp server.

Make sure that you do not have any configuration changes that is in the running-config that's not yet committed to the startup-config yet. To commit the changes, use the "write memory" command.

I'm not going to recommend tftp servers, there plenty out there. All these has to be done from the Command Line Interface CLI. Hope this helps.
