Hp 5120 Poe power ratings
I need to know the maximum Power rating for this switch. to know how many devices I can use on it. the spec sheet shows 740w but in the notes says 370w which is correct?

I think 370W is for 24 port model and 740w is for 48 port.
Take a look in table with models specification - spec

The spec sheet is what I was talking about it says 740w in the poe section but just under that in the notes it says with AC input it is only 370w....so which one is correct?

Hi, regards to official HP networking IRIS configurator, 370W is maximum you can get from 24-port version even with RPS1600 redundant power supply. If you connect 48-port version with RPS1600 you can get 740W (370W internal + 370W RPS)... see attached screenshot. That seems logic to have about 15,4W per port (370/24 or 740/48) which is max. power provided from PSE to PD.
Think that the same (max power from switches power supply) is for PoE+ version switches, but in case of PoE+ the max power provided could be 25,5W per port/PD so there is no full power for every port.
