Implementing STP - RollOut Question

Hi,

I want to implement STP in our network.

I've read a bit about it but I did'nt find any answer to this question:

If I want to roll out STP, does it have to be enabled on all devices at the same time (which will be a bit complicated - because there are several locations which arent reachable at the same time by three persons), or can I implement it on the Root-Bridge and some "core" switches and then adopt the other location - step by step?
