Increase telnet sessions
Hi all,
On my Cisco Switches I can configure number of VTYs and time that they time-out.
ex.
Line vty 0 4
Exec-timeout 15 0
How can I config this on my HP procure Switches. I can open only 3 telnet sessions on my Switch that are never time out.
Thank you.
Merry Christmas

Re: Increase telnet sessions
Kalispera Stratos from Greece,
most E-Series Switches are limited to 3 Telnet/SSH sessions, some are able to cope with 6 sessions (ProVision series 5400 etc.). Cli-command "show telnet/ssh" gives you more details. The CLI command "console inactivity-timer xx" logs you out in xx minutes. Since enhancement PR00001641 you don't need a reboot when changing this timer. This enhancement is not implemented in every switch. There is no difference in access concerning timers and passwords using telnet, console, and ssh.
