Installation of J4859B on J4908A Module

Looking for instructions or procedure to install the J4895B GBIC. The J4908A module sees the GBIC in the slot, but does not have an indication that it is active on the modules port status.

Hi,

Did the switch get rebooted when the module (and GBIC) were installed?

If not, it may need to have this done before the GBIC interface can be configured.

Does the switch allow you to access the interface to configure it?

Where there is a will there is a way...
