Hi.
It strikes me as crazy that the 2600's quite happily use 1000SX/LX/LH fibre miniGBICs but not 100FX.
Does anyone know if/when there will be support in the 2600 series for the 100FX J9054 miniGBIC, and if not, what the limitation is in the 2600 is that prevents use of this module.
Cheers,

Solution
Unfortunately there is some type of hardware requirement that prevents it being used in the 2600.
The oldest ProCurve switch that supports it is the 2800 series.
It works fine though on the 2510 if you need something similar to the 2600.

Re: J9054 100fx miniGBIC support for 2600 series
Thanks Matt.
The 2600 has power (over ethernet), without the $$$ layer3 functions, which is why it is a reasonably popular switch in our marketspace. Well looks like our customers have to use gigabit *sigh*.
Cheers
