Keeping local traffic local
Hi everyone,
I have a Server with 2 NICs and am migrating from 147.109.24.x network to 10.16.128.0/21 networks.
NIC 1 IP: 147.109.24.x
NIC 2 IP: 10.16.130.x
The gateway for NIC 1 is 147.109.24.254
No gateway for NIC 2
How do I keep 10.16.128.0/21 subnets from going out 147.109.24.254 gateway so traffic stays local?
Thanks.

Hope it helps & Points are welcomed

Jan

Re: Keeping local traffic local
Hi Jan, thanks for reply.
If I have the 5 floors as:
Floor 5 10.16.133.0/24
Floor 4 10.16.132.0/24
Floor 3 10.16.131.0/24
Floor 2 10.16.130.0/24
Floor 1 10.16.129.0/24
Switch and server management 10.16.128.0/24
If I add a route for each of the above subnets on the server, what should the gateway be?
Adding IP's to NIC 2 (10.16.129.6 etc) still won't work if I do route add on server:
route add 10.16.129.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.16.129.6
Thanks.
