LACP on 2 different switches for 1 server

Hello,

First, sorry for my English.

Secondly, I would like to know if it is possible to activate LACP on 2 different switches for a unique server which have 2 network cards.
I know how to configure LACP ports on one switch, but in that case it's different because
I would like to use 2 switches.

Of course I have configure the 802.3ad option on the network team of my server.

The concerned switches are HP Procurve 5406zl.

Hello,

no, that's not possible. If you want to connect a server to two switches, you can't use LACP or static trunks. Take a look at the distributed trunking feature of the Procuves. This will solve you problem.

With K.14.xx a new feature called "Distributed Trunking" was introduced to the 5400zl series (and others).

This is exactly what you are looking for.
