Link Down cause STP and LACP
Hi all
I don't understand why the link active change to inactive , show log i'm wondered the message log that the port was blocked by STP and LACP. I'm not sure this is the root cause but i sure my network didn't loop. The port is single link not aggreation link
Logging on my switch procurve 2650 port 35:
I 09/24/07 15:40:03 ports: port 35 is now off-line
I 09/24/07 15:42:50 ports: port 35 is Blocked by LACP
I 09/24/07 15:42:51 ports: port 35 is Blocked by STP
I 09/24/07 15:42:52 ports: port 35 is now on-line
I 09/24/07 15:43:05 ports: port 35 is now off-line

The port came up in non-forwarding mode and transitioned to forwarding 1 second later. So it appears RSTP is working fine. Similarly for LACP.
I don't know why your link went down either, sadly. I would start by looking at the logs from the other end, if you have any.
