Linking Switches together in series

Is there a max number of 2500/2600 series switches that can be chained together in a single direction away from a core switch?

i.e.

Core-Switch1-Switch2-Switch3-Switch4-Switch5-etc

Hi

Generally if you can avoid daisy chaining as much as possible is good.

However in a flat topology you should never exceed 8 switch hops from 1 end of the network to another.

Have a look here:
