MAC Lockdown for 5400 / 26OO switches
Hello All,
We are in the process of deploying HP wireless AP's in our environment for guest and staff internet access.
How can we lock down the switch port that the AP connects so that we can avoid somebody from unplugging the cable (from the back of the AP) and pluging thier laptop using the same cable to our network? The AP's are clearly visible to staff\guest and locating the AP's out of sight is not possible.
We also cannot limit the switch to accept only the MAC of the AP since the AP will be connecting to multiple MAC's.(Guests \ Staff)
Any suggestions?
