MIBS for SerialNumber onto Cisco Switches
Hi everyone,
Do you know if Cisco Manufacture insert automatically Serial Number for their devices ?
Based on my study, some models have it into the Temp subtree of the specific CISCO mib, but some other models I cannot find where this Serial Number are written at All.
We mainly have models: 2950G & C6506 & C6509 & 3550G...
Do somebody (in real live) capture those Serial Numbers using the MIB contents???
Cisco Tech. doesn't seems to what there engineers guys do, so we didn't get any good answer from them on this matter.
Thanks!
Guy

Re: MIBS for SerialNumber onto Cisco Switches
Hi,
I am very sorry but this is an HP Forum and we do not know what Cisco implements. Let Cisco answer on their products not HP.
Thanks, Ardon
