Mixing OM3 and OM2 cables

We have a customer with OM3 (50 micron) cables between 2 computer rooms. Is it possible to use OM2 drop cables to the san swicthes in both rooms, or should he use OM3 cables all the way?
Distance is about 10m and speed 4Gb/s

Both are 50 micron so it shouldn't be a problem, especially at such short distances.

Heh, ok. Still that shouldn't pose a problem unless the san switches require OM3 for 4gbit at that distance. Of course, getting OM3 cabling everywhere is better. If you still have to buy them I wonder why you'd even go for OM2.

Reason for this is that OM2 cables are more common and I have noe expirience with OM3.
But I agree that the best is that he customer is using OM3 all around.
