Multicast problem at HP2626

Hi,
I have problem with connecting the switch HP2626(H.10.35) with the dlink switch DES-1252. When I connect them, I seek 100% utilization at the port connected to dlink switch. (caused by multicast packets)
If I use another swith then HP2626 (for example 3Com), problem dosn't appeared.

Any ideas?

Thank's.

It sounds like a loop. Have you tried enabling spanning-tree?

Re: Multicast problem at HP2626

Hi

Can you capture any of the multicast packets, or even get an idea about it?

Did you try to turn off the Auto configuration on the uplink port and fix it to something like 100-full?

Good Luck !!!

Re: Multicast problem at HP2626

The 2600 series floods multicast packets out of every port by default. Your best bet is to use source-port filtering.
