OSPF/RSTP

i have a customer network as shown in the attachment, they say they want the resilience via layer 3 routing protocol OSPF, i have suggested using RSTP. IF they want to go ahead with OSPF this is supported on the 5308 and 9308 is there a way of using it only on these devices and using something else on the links to the 2950's?
Do you think RSTP is the best way forward on the network as a whole?

thanks

Re: OSPF/RSTP

Mike,

Using VRRP will give you the layer 3 redundancy without adding to the complexity of your OSPF routing domain.

Cheers
