Since going to version 2.1, I can no longer check for updates. If I click the Check Now button, I get a download error "Unable to download updates index file".
Does this work for anyone?
I tried searching the logs for the text "ftp.hp.com" and only get hits for the pre 2.1 logfiles. Following the urls that the pre 2.1 version used, From Windows, I can navigate to ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/procurve_firmware.prp so I know my firewall is not holding me back.

Re: PCM 2.1 Automatic Updates
Thanks Preston,
Since I use the Microsoft Fiewall Client for ISA server (winsock), I did not have web proxy defined. Seems to me PCM 1.x used the WinHTTP proxy settings because I kept getting conflicts between PCM and Windows Updates and had to keep flipping it. I don't recall having to set proxy in PCM 2.0 and so just assumed it either worked with winsock or WinHTTP.
Oh well... it works now.
Thanks again
