PCM 2.2 Upgrade Options

Is anyone able to clarify the upgrade options for PCM+ 2.2 please? When we upgraded to 2.0 we had big problems because of various licensing issues.

There are two upgrade options listed:

ProCurve Manager Plus v2.2
upgrade from PCM+ 1.6 or newer
(J9056A)

ProCurve Manager Plus v2.2
upgrade +100-device license
(J9058A)

The first option mentions 50 devices and the second mentions 100 devices. Neither mention an upgrade path for customers who currently have an unlimited device version of PCM. When we upgraded last time we were sent a key for a limited device version and then had to purchase a new key for unlimited. It all seems a little unclear and I'm hoping someone could clarify please.
