PCM 2+ ssh to 2500 switches

Running PCM B.02.005. I can set up ssh communication with our 2600 switches fine, but not to any 2500 switches - the ssh option is greyed out. A firmware upgrade was required on the 2500's to enable ssh, so I'm suspecting that for some reason PCM still assumes that 2500's doesn't support ssh, so doesn't give me the option (as suggested in the PCM help files). Any suggestions? Anything I can do to convince PCM that my 2500's can in fact do ssh?

Switch in question is 2524 (f.05.34).

Re: PCM 2+ ssh to 2500 switches

Craig,

You can enable this option by editing the files:
[install_dir]\PNM\server\config\sw2512.oid
[install_dir]\PNM\server\config\sw2524.oid

You will see an entry in these two files that looks like:
isSSH=false

If you edit the files to look like the following and restart your PCM services the SSH option should be enabled for your 2500's:
isSSH=true

Worked perfectly, except the files are actually in PNM\server\config\devConfig\.
