PCM - Defining Policy based on a Event from Traffic Manager
Hi at all,
is it possible to define a Policy based on a event from the Traffic Mannager ? I have defined such a policy - but it will not run, because the source of this policy is not a device - but the Traffic Manager.
The Goal is to get a EMail when a Switch Port exceeds the theshold of Port Utilisation.
Thank you for your help

Re: PCM - Defining Policy based on a Event from Traffic Manager
Can you specify the details of the Alert you created for the purpose?
The below alert should work
Alert Type:-
Policy Manager:Event-based Alert
Filter:-
has severity GREATER THAN Informational
contains: Critical threshold violation
Source:-
Alert source as Event source
Also check if the email configuration is proper(Preferences>SMTP Profiles)
Hope that helps

Re: PCM - Defining Policy based on a Event from Traffic Manager
Details of the Alert:
Times: Everytimes
Sources: Interconnect Devices
Targets: No targets for the policy
Altert Type - Polic Manager Event based Alert
Filter:
Alert me when I receive 1 event that: has severity GREATER THAN infomational an within a period of 60 seconds
Actions:
Send EMail to ....
(Note: sending EMail works fine)
--------------------------------------------
The solution for the problem was to define the Alert in the Source Tab as "Alert Source(s) as contents of event"
I have made this settings - and since then - it works fine.
Thank you for your assistance.
