PCM+ Not updating switch model after change

Hi

I have replaced a 2524 with a 2626-PWR using the same IP address.

PCM has discovered the new switch and has all of it's details shown, except it is still in the 2524 group. I believe it is possible to move the switch into the correct group manually but am wondering if there is a method of PCM doing this automatically.

I have a network with approx 350 Procurve switches and do not always know when one has been replaced with a different model so this could save time if it was automated.

Cheers

Re: PCM+ Not updating switch model after change

Sorry, couldn't see how to edit my post.

The 2626 is still shown as a model 2524 in the devices list, the only way I know it is not is by the firmware which is H rahter than F.
I guess I can manually identify what is what by the firmware and put it in the correct group manually but an automated method would still be preferrable.

Any ideas?

Why not just delete it out of PCM and then rediscover it?

Re: PCM+ Not updating switch model after change

I've had this issue as well -- PCM support told me to delete and re-add it.
It was "on the list of proposed fixes" for PCM 1.6...but that time has come and gone ;-)
