Using Procurve Manager for managing a network including Procurve switches and Cisco routers. Maps are correctly discovered for directly connected ethernet links. The problem is when there is a wan link in between - leased line between the routers, or an ethernet link from a network service provider.
The map looks like separate "islands" og networks.
CDP is enabled on the links, but these packets only traverse locally connected devices. Is there any other way PCM could use to discover network connections?

I was wondering the same thing awhile back. If I recall correctly, the HP tech I spoke with said that WAN links will not be discovered and he did not know of a way to make them appear.
It would be very neat to see the WAN links, though...
