PCM snmp request

Can I change a switch manger password with snmp(pcm) since i dont have access with the telnet password? if yes how can it be done?If no any ideas?

Are you asking how to do it in PCM? If so what version?

PCM2 has the Communications Parameters In Device Wizard that will lead you by the nose.

i have pcm ver A1.50. when trying with cli wizard obvisly it gives me time out as it uses telnet.I`ve tried with deploy wizard but it wont change the password only the rest of the config.Does pcm support change of password with snmp? if yes how ?if no any ideas...

Hi Alessio,

1-You can't change telnet password via SNMP
2-You will not be able to do it with PCM CLI Wizard, becuase you can't pass multi line iputs, if i remember correctly.
3-What might work (I haven't tried it) is if you pull the config, modify the config and push it back.

I think i am right on the above statments, can someone else confirm.

no it doenst work like this.ive tried it several times with deploy wiz but still ,it changes everything that can be changed but the telnet password still remains the same.
