PCM2.0+ - Configuration Scan Policy
Hi everbody,
i have a problem with one Switch (HP 2848).
The PCM cannot scan the configuration.
The PCM has the follwing Event in his log:
Event Description
Device ' ()' scan failed. Reason = Timeout
I cannot explain why the PCM got a timeout. The Communication Setting are right. The PCM discovered this switch successfully.
I hope somebody can help me.
Kind Regards
Alen Ahja

Re: PCM2.0+ - Configuration Scan Policy
HI,
I had the same problem, It turned out that in the SNMP settings i had configured the community strings as 'Operator unrestricted' and not 'Manager Unrestricted'
e.g
switch(Config)# snmp-server STRING manager unrestricted.
Cheers

Re: PCM2.0+ - Configuration Scan Policy
Hi!
You're right - I changed the snmp-server community entry to "Manager unrestricted" now and now it works.
I had overseen that there is a wron entry.
Thanx for help.
Kind Regards
Alen Ahja
