PCM2.0+ not picking up all software..

Hello,

I have just checked on the procurve.com website for latest versions of software for all of my switches.

The PCM+ software has picked up the latest versions for all devices except for the HP Procurve 2600 series.
The PCM software states that the latest version is H.08.72 whilst the procurve.com site advertises H.08.86 as the latest version.

It has successfully picked up the latest versions for all the other switches.

Any ideas?

The list is downloaded as a PRP file and that file is not as current as the web page.

Hi Jonathan,

Les is correct (as usual). The software versions that you see from within PCM are encoded in a property file (procurve_firmware.prp) that is updated as soon as PCM support is verified for a new firmware release. Unfortuantely this frequently lags the posting of the firmware to the web.

As a matter of fact, I was just evaluating the new property file this afternoon that includes the H.08.86 entry. Assuming the other tests go as well as mine the file should be posted sometime tomorrow.
