PROCURVE 8000M BUS ERROR
One of my 8000M switched rebootet by itself, with this messages in the log:
M 07/13/06 13:30:29 sys: 'Bus error: HW Addr=0x5a009130 IP=0x000f48c0 PCW:0x00'
I 01/01/90 00:00:00 system: --------------------------------------------------
I 01/01/90 00:00:00 system: System went down: 07/13/06 13:30:29
I 01/01/90 00:00:00 system: Bus error: HW Addr=0x5a009130 IP=0x000f48c0 PCW:0
I have upgraded to latest software 9.28 some weeks ago.
Is this something I should worry about? Never seen it before and I have more than 60 of these 8000Ms.

Re: PROCURVE 8000M BUS ERROR
It's not normal so you should keep an eye on it.
Was there anything in the log prior to this happening that may give you an idea as to what triggered it? i.e. a port going up and down too often or something else that may be considered unusual.
If it continues, I would recommend you contact HP about it. If you fill out this form before contacting them it may help them solve this problem quicker: http://www.hp.com/rnd/support/support_forms/prosw.txt
