Password recovery on 5300 switches.
We need to recover or reset the password on our 5300 series switches. Is there a way to do this without resetting the switch config?
Thanks
Brian

Re: Password recovery on 5300 switches.
Hi
Resetting the password for both Manager and operator accounts by pressing the Clear button on the front panel for one second.
Thats if you didn't change the default of front panel security.
If you did, then clear button is not usefull in this case, you need Password recovery procedure, using the MAC address, and contacting HP to get a one time use password.
Good Luck !!!
