Perl Scripts to manage ProCurves

First post to thi forum. Sorry if this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it.
I'd like to automate some routine items on my Procurve 1600, 4000, 2525 etc switches. Specifically, I'd like to change the management password via Perl Script and SNMP. I manage approximatel 100 ProCurves and changing the password every 90 days is very tedious. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff have you considered using HP ProCurve Manager http://www.hp.com/rnd/products/management/pcm/summary.htm ?

Re: Perl Scripts to manage ProCurves

Thanks for the tip. I have indeed considered PCM. I've used TopTools in the past too, but at this time, I'm looking for quick-hit tools for maintenance. We're currently an Openview shop and get the reporting things we need. I'd like to limit the number of "tools" we need to install and maintain. I'm more interested in running a script or two to make changes when needed.

Re: Perl Scripts to manage ProCurves

Ok, basically you can use the hpicfSecurity.mib for all the devices.

What I recommend is you use hpicfSecurity.mib for all 2500 series products and older, and use rfc2576.mib for all newer products.

I hope this is what you are looking for.
