Re: Policy Based Routing with 5412???
maybe I explain my problem. Further procurve 5412 will be linked to two routers. One is connected to an ADSL and the other to a MPLS connection. So IP traffic with high priority should use MPLS line and all other traffic like http use ADSL.
How can I realize this with 5412 or some other Procurve products???
hubertus :)

Re: Policy Based Routing with 5412???
Unfortunaly you can't base ip routing on the source ip address today.
There is a mayor upgrade on the way for the 5400-family with operating system versions 14.x with many new features. However I do not know if policy based routing is one of them.

That so far is a common requirement with people using an MPLS VPN.

Well, not with PBR it seems. But would PBR really be necessary? In an MPLS VPN, you can usually name all the destinations that stay within the VPN, either automatically by dynamic routing or due to the addressing used inside the VPN (typically RFC1918 only). So if you route just MPLS *destinations* out to MPLS and point the default route to your El Cheapo ADSL, maybe that's already sufficient?
If that doesn't work for you and just fixing HTTP towards the Internet would help enough, consider to introduce a web proxy with a default route to ADSL. For that matter, this box when running Linux could even do a good amount of PBR to work around the issues that inevitably crop up in such setups.
HTH,
Andre.
