Port Counters In HP ProCurve Switch 4000M
My company currently uses the HP ProCurve Switch 4000M. Right now I need to monitor the number of bytes use in each port. By loging on the the switch using the Manager Mode I am able to see the current bytes being used in each port. However, it looks like the port couters resets at every 5 gig so there's no actual way to get the total of bytes used. Is there a software out there that is able to track the number of bytes used for each port? Any advice or help is much appreciated.

Re: Port Counters In HP ProCurve Switch 4000M
Hi, I don't know if you have a limit with port counters, but i have found this document where expalin that was a bug fixed in C.07.24 firmware version, thet reset counters to 0 when a 1000Bt link loses or autonegotiate connection.
Check it with your FW version.

Re: Port Counters In HP ProCurve Switch 4000M
If this counter is a 32Bit number then the max will be
about 4294967295 or (4.29Gb)
Thats what I am seeing.
