Port Counters
We have a bunch of ProCurve 4108 and a ProCurve 5308 switches. about 1/3 of all the ports have 0 on the counter. Is this accurate? How long do the ProCurve's report on the ports? Are we talking days or weeks etc? I don't want to be unplugging some live connections you see!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Port Counters
Hi Kelvin
Impossible to say whether that is accurate or not. The counters start to increase as soon as you plug a live wire in, and keep on increasing until you power cycle the unit.
If you want to ensure you're not unplugging live connections, check the port status. On CLI you will see "Up" and "Down", and on the web interface all ports that are up show as green.
