Port counter Bcast/Mcast 's issue

i have a customer whose used 2510-24. they find that there are a large number of
Bcast/Mcast port counters.

but from the sniffer or other management software, the broadcast data is few than what switch showed. i want to know to fix this status? maybe it's the account bug.

does anyone can help me ? i will upload the cfg file.

many thanks in advance .

Re: Port counter Bcast/Mcast 's issue

Rayma, just to be certain, try 'clear statistics all' and at the same time do another packet capture with the sniffer for a few minutes.

If it still looks to be wrong, please open a new case with HP support and email:
1. description of the problem and troubleshooting performed
2. the 'show tech all'
3. the port counters output after 'clear statistics all'
4. and the packet capture.

By the way your attachments don't seem to be working on the forum for some reason.
