Port query on 2424

Hi there,

Port 16 on our 2424M, shows up as "16-MP", but I cannot find out anywhere what the "-MP" means. Could anyone shed any light on this?

Hi Tom,

The MP means that the port is configured as the Monitoring Port.
In most normal situations you shouldn't need a monitorport, so you can disable it:

3. Switch Configuration
3. Network Monitoring Port
