Port security with 4108GL
Q1. How many MAC addresses can be assigned to a given port?
Q2. Is it possible to configure a pool of authorized MAC addresses and apply it across all access ports on a switch?
Thank you
Don Kanicki

Re: Port security with 4108GL
A1. I believe that the address limit is 8.
A2. If you use the CLI and your telnet/ssh client support cut and paste, you can achieve what you desire. However, given the 8 address limit, it might not be meaningful to do that.

If a problem can be fixed, there's nothing to worry. If a problem can't be fixed, worrying ain't gonna help. Bottom line: don't worry.

Re: Port security with 4108GL
With other vendors it is sometimes possible to do Radius authentication of each MAC address. I'm not sure about HP switches, but you can check in this direction.
