Premature bandwidth peak
Hello,
I am operating a hp procurve 2650 as a layer 2 switching device. Everything is working great on the device, cpu utilization is low, plenty of memory available. There are no vlans setup or any port trunking, flow control etc. I have the switch at the bare minimum config to work for this.
The uplink port is fully capable of doing 1000mbit from our upstream fiber provider. It seems the switch is somehow slowing things down, as once we reach 625mbit the bandwidth caps out and packet loss begins.
Any hints or guidance would be extremely appreciated. Here is more info from our uplink router:
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
no ip directed-broadcast
no ip proxy-arp
negotiation auto
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec, rely 255/255, load 1/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
Keepalive set (10 sec)
Full-duplex mode, link type is autonegotiation, media type is SX
output flow-control is unsupported, input flow-control is unsupported

Output queue 0/40, 0 drops; input queue 0/75, 0 drops

0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
6 lost carrier, 0 no carrier, 0 pause output
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
