ProCurve 2626 - Console Port
I just purchased a ProCurve 2626 and I am unable to connect to the console port using Hyperterminal. I have tried different cables which I know are good and the one which came with the switch. I have also tried to connect the the console from a different server also trying different cables from that server. The Hyperterminal window remains blank and does not allow me to type anything when I attempt the connection.
Has anyone else had this problem. I just configure a Linksys switch last week using this same method and it connected with no problem on the first attempt.
Also I am using the default Hyperterminal settings as I could not find any documentation on specific settings needed.
Thanks,
Rob

Re: ProCurve 2626 - Console Port
I just figured it out. I had to change the default terminal emulation from AutoDetect to ANSI.

Re: ProCurve 2626 - Console Port
It was just a matter of changing the terminal emulation setting from Auto to ASCI
