ProCurve 2900
Hi at all,
i┬┤ve a question to stop DHCP broadcast.
The customer has 1*2900/24 and 1*2900/48 Port connected over a 10 Mbit leased line directly.
It is possible to stop DHCP requests over the two Sites?
regards,
Alexander

Re: ProCurve 2900
If you want to stop DHCP request, means that you have two DHCP servers?
In that case, I will create two broadcast domain on each side of the line.

Re: ProCurve 2900
Hi Yan,
I├В┬┤ve on both side two DHCP Server.
The problem is there are two Subnets
255.255.248.0 and 255.255.255.0
The DHCP Server from the first side seploy IP to arong teh 2 Switches. with the wrong IP├В┬┤s.
The DHCP Broadcast must stop connection over teh switches.
Regards,
Alexander

Not sure of what this means. If I understand correctly, you have two DHCP on each subnet. Is that right?
Because we don't have that much information, I suggest this.
Create 2 vlans. Put one DHCP server in each vlan and enable routing to enable both vlan to communicate if this is desired.
