Problem polling switch from other machine
Hi,
i´m using switch HP Procurve 2626 and, using the CLI of the switch, i can see rmon statistics and other info (ex: MIB II).
The problem is when i want to get snmp info using any mib browser from my local machine.
I can ping the switch but I can´t get snmp info from it.
I defined the communities. Is there any other kind of permissions i have to define in the switch in order to be able to poll it from my machine?
Thanks in advance.
Sara Paiva

Re: Problem polling switch from other machine
By default the switch has the community name 'public' enabled for unrestricted read/write access.
snmp-server community "public" Unrestricted
The snmp-server itself is enabled by default, if it has been disabled you can re-enable it with 'snmp-server enable'
