Problems using mySQL Query browser to connect to PCM

Hi,

I'm trying to use mySQL query browser to connect to the PCM database hosted on another machine.

I've ensured that the account I'm trying has the 'Grant external DB access' option ticked in user manager but the query browser returns the following error:

Access denied for user scottj@mymachine.mydomain.co.uk' (using password: YES).

It seems that the query browser always appends the machine/domain info to the user name but PCM won't accept user names like that.

Has anyone got this working successfully please?

Using no password has allowed me access to the database.
