Problems with Voip and procurve 7102dl

I have a problem where 7102 which is allowing sip registrations and traffic without any problems into the network but when I try to register with a sip provider outside of our network the connection never is established.
Any idea what could be the problem?

Hi

Check "Enabling the SIP ALG for Voice over IP":
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/SR7000dl-Adv-C04-Firewall-Nov2006.pdf

Good luck !!!

Can you attach your config? I had the same problem and actually had to disable something that was there by default. Just trying to remember what.

Re: Problems with Voip and procurve 7102dl

I recall it was these lines:

!
ip sip
no ip sip tcp
ip sip proxy
!

so try 'no ip sip' first and see how that goes.

Thank you,
I have tried it from basic mode but no go ...
I am new to this router so I would appreciate a detailed step by step.
Thank you

Re: Problems with Voip and procurve 7102dl

It looks like we are getting somewhere.
Now I can register but on registration server it looks like I am connecting to port 1698 instead of 5060 ... any solutions to this?

Thank you very much ....
