Procurve 2510G port isolation question
I am trying to find if it is possible to configure port isolation on Procurve 2510G switch. But till now i have not found any document that explains how to do that.
Maybe it isn't supported at all on these switches?
I need to configure all the ports on the switch to communicate only with the gateway.
They must not communicate with each other, and they will connect to PC that are on the same subnet.
From this requirement, I think port isolation is the feature that i need.
Any idea to addresss this problem would be very helpful from you.
Regards,
Arber.

Re: Procurve 2510G port isolation question
for this the Protected ports feature should help. It defines two port groups: Protected and unprotected. The protected ports cannot communicate with each other and can communicate only with unprotected port/ports.
You can find this in Access Security Guide for 2510G:

Re: Procurve 2510G port isolation question
I found that feature from the datasheet. I was searching on the wrong place, because of the confusion of the port isolation feature on the 2600 series switches.

Arber.

Re: Procurve 2510G port isolation question
very easy
you can use protect port
protected-ports
Ports in the protected-ports list cannot forward traffic to each other
ProCurve Switch 2510G-24(config)#protected-ports
