Procurve 2650 using VLANS sent via IAS
Hi,
I am trying to setup a network using 802.1x authentication where ports are assigned a vlan id via radius.
I have seen the various foundry documents and have got this working. When IAS sends the vlan to the switch, the switch places the port in a web vlan mode as opposed to tagged or untagged.
I am wondering is it possible for IAS to send a string to the hp 2650 which will allow it to place a port in vlan 2 as tagged and vlan 3 as untagged.
the foundry network documents indicate this is possible on their switches, does HP have a similar command or attribute I can use to acheive the same thing?

Re: Procurve 2650 using VLANS sent via IAS
Which Foundry document are you referring to?
The only way I believe you can do this on a ProCurve switch is to statically set the port for the tagged VLANs that it may require, and let RADIUS assign the untagged VLAN.

Re: Procurve 2650 using VLANS sent via IAS
Hi Matt,
thanks for the reply
i'm referring to this document
http://www.foundrynet.com/pdf/wp-deploying-mac-with-ias.pdf
oh page 46 it mentions sending untagged and tagged vlan information to the switch, I was hoping HP switches have similar attributes that we could use.
Thanks.
