Procurve 4000m

We are having a problem with our Procurve 4000m. The ports show link lights but the port status does not report a MAC address being there. Some of the ports on the switch work and some don't. I tried moving the network cable to different ports but they still cannot find the domain server. When trying to do a ipconfig \renew it says that the local DHCP server cannot be found. Anyone have any ideas of what is going on?

Re: Procurve 4000m

If it doesn't clear up after a reboot then verify that there is no tagging turned on on the ports and that they are all in the VLAN you think they are. Set the duplex and speed to the same on each end.

Which version of the s/w are you running? C.09.16 is the latest.

Re: Procurve 4000m

I have the exact same problem and I'm running 9.16. It seems to me that it is associated with network port monitoring or CoS protocol priority. These are the only settings I've played with before the problem began. Let me know if you discover anything. Regards.
