Procurve 420, VLAN and Freeradius
Hi,
I try to use VLAN on a HP Procurve 420.
The main idea is to have 2 VLAN, a secure one with WPA, and a opened one (without any security).
As I understood, the process for auth. may be:
- a station which try to authenticate itself on the AP have two issues: auth. succeed and data will be tagged with the id defined on the freeradius server for the logged user, auth. failed and data will be tagged with the id defined for the default user.
- a station which doesn't try to authenticate itself on the AP will be automaticaly tagged with the default vlan id defined on the HP 420.
I think this can be possible but I'm not sure.I'm looking for someone who have already done that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated (case study, configuration examples...)
Regards,
Jeremy
