Procurve 8212zl : VRRP and IPv6
Hello,
We have some HP Procurve 8212zl as our core switches. We are planning our transition to IPv6. But I didn't see any notion about IPv6 VRRP in K.15 firmware.
Cf : RFC 5798: Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol Version 3 for IPv4 and IPv6
Is this planned for future versions on the roadmap?
Regards

Re: Procurve 8212zl : VRRP and IPv6
ipv6 VRRP does not yet support 8200 series switch
IPv6 Layer 3 support
├в ┬в K.13 provided IPv6 foundation services:
├в IPv6 Host
├в Dual stack (IPv4/IPv6)
├в MLD snooping
├в ┬в K.14 provided additional security and control:
├в IPv6 ACL
├в IPv6 QoS
├в ┬в K.15 provides Layer 3 support services:
├в OSPFv3
├в Static routing
├в DHCPv6 Relay
├в Other features, including Port-based ACLs, Auto tftp, syslog, SSH Server,
SNMP server (v1, v2, v3), SNTP client, Web server, IP Auth Manager.

Re: Procurve 8212zl : VRRP and IPv6
I downloaded the latest release last week K.15.03.0007 and I don't see it.
But, I have no idea when or if HPN will add it...Since they have most all the other routing protocols/functions for IPv6, I would think they would add it.
Maybe someone from HPN will comment.
Sorry I couldn't help more...Jeff

Re: Procurve 8212zl : VRRP and IPv6
Is there any way about doing that with anycast adresses and give the same adress for two nodes ?
