Procurve Layer2 redundant

Hello, Could you please tell me what is the best way make redundant my network.

I have two type of connections : users and servers. Users are connected to five HP2610 switches. Servers are connected to two HP2810 switches. As a Core switch I have HP3400cl switch.

My goals is make all connection redundant below connections : - switch - switch - server - switch Server have Windows and Linux Os installed.

By means of redundancy I mean ability that every switch can fail. My step by step plan is :

1.Buy second switch for core - HP3400cl and two switches for server farm(hp2810).

2. Implement switches configuration.

3. Connect every access(users) switches to every of HP3400cl core switches.

4. Connect every server switches to every core switches.

5. Connect every server for two server farm switches. In this way I want to make my network redundant.

I have two question to clarify for :

1.What kind of layer 2 protocol should I use(Step2) for my redundant configuration.
Do I right uderstand that STP(MSTP) is the best way for my project.

some Hp switch embedded special L2 redundacy protocol
this protocol is MESH but not include MESH protocol your switch

you can create spanning tree configuration on switch for L2 redundancy

spanning tree protocol have three force version on procurve switch

1spanning tree
2rapit spanning tree
3multiple spanning tree

stp or rstp must be use single vlan system
mstp use multiple vlan system

each uplink port must be carry different vlan with mstp

if you have only one vlan on system my advice use rstp protocol on switch

for L2 redundancy

IMHO in your case it would be the best to use a combination of L3/L2 redundancy at the core and the edge (OSPF/Static Routes/XRRP/MSTP) as well as a sort of "teaming" at the server side.
The particular redundancy mode of the teaming depends both on the server's networking hardware/software available and the network redundancy combination chosen.
You can chose routing at the edge (terminating user and server VLANs at the network edge to facilitate network resourses access control) or/and routing within the core.

What kind of tehnology/protocol(layer2) should I use to connnect Windows(Linux) server to two servers in the same time (link etherchanell).

I don't want to use XRRP protocol on Servers.
