Procurve Manager 'Finding Servers'
I have had an install of Procurve Manager working in teh past but having to do a fresh install and despite all teh correct settings in the installation the initial startup of PCM hangs on 'Finding Servers' and will sit there indeffinatly.
I have checked that Java is okay and up to date.
Is there something im missing?

Re: Procurve Manager 'Finding Servers'
quick check's:
a) Version of PCM?
b) Version of OS on which the PCM server is installed?
c) Status of PCM Server & Datastore in the windows services ?
d) Any errors listed in Windows Event Viewer related to PCM Server/Datastore service?

Re: Procurve Manager 'Finding Servers'
Okie..
you mentioned "had to do fresh install". So was it that you uninstalled the previous PCM version and installed this 3.10 a fresh in the same machine?
There has been problems where the uninstall and then new install leaving the client corrupted - due to improper and clean uninstall. So would suggest that you try with clean slate and install afresh, after making sure the previous version is completely wiped out - Add/Remove programs > HP Procure Manger Uninstall > Cleanup the installed folder if any files still left > Reboot.
Now try installing afresh. If the problem still persists, would suggest you attempt connecting from a remote client?
You need to download the PCM client installable by pointing your browser to http://:8040
Further instructions for Remote Client install: Check http://cdn.procurve.com/training/Manuals/PCM-AdminGuide-Jan2010-5990-8850.pdf,
