Procurve Radius Integration - Password Restrictions

Having just implemented Radius authentication on Procurve switches using Microsoft NPS, there seems to be some restrictions on special characters in passwords and general length of password. Can anyone tell me what these restrictions are?

 

For example on a Procurve 2524 or 2520-G-8-PoE switch?
