iam using a procurve switch in my environment, and i need to monitor it through NNM.
i need HP ProCurve to send CPU traps to NNM.
iam asking a simple question.
does ProCurve send CPU traps by default to NNM -incase the NNM server is included in the ACL- or i need to enable CPU traps to be sent first?
also, which command enable ProCurve to send CPU traps?
10 points for each reply.

SolutionYou can try with the command:
snmp-server host debug "ip address"
to get more out of that but as far i remember never saw a cpu message.

Re: Procurve configuration (Urgently-10 points for each reply)
What i ment is that hp is not sending cpu traps but just link/crc errors etc traps.
With the command snmp-server host you can set the level of severity of the traps you can recieve.
If you set it to debug there is a chance you wil get cpu traps. Only i have no access to a list what realy is being sended to the trap reciever.
Good luck with testing

Re: Procurve configuration (Urgently-10 points for each reply)
If the CPU reaches a certain threshold you want the switch to send a trap to NNM?
Example: CPU = 80% busy, send trap?
