Procurve manager question
Im trying to get procurve manager to send alarms when devices are not reachable anymore!
is that possible?
I've tried the policy manager to send emails for various tasks, and thats works perfectly!
But when devices go down there is noting logged in the eventviewer and noting to trig a mail send!

Re: Procurve manager question

*****************************************
yes this is possible
you can create event based alert and alert include loss of link and you make configure send email action
But when devices go down there is noting logged in the eventviewer and noting to trig a mail send!
*****************************************
very normaly device go to down no send event
but
1.device connect to (with int26uplink )2.device (with int26)
device1 int26 int25 device 2
***********-------------------*********
*********** *********
if you can create evet base alert
alert include must be loss of link on port 26
device 2 go to down device 1 send event and trigger policy

Re: Procurve manager question
furthermore i have several remote locations with only one switch.
I would like to get notified when those become unreachable! so link up/link down on neighboring device won't work on those locations either!
any other suggestions?

Re: Procurve manager question
did you see device unreachable event on PCM
when divece disconnect on network come to device unreachable event log on pcm event tab
no need stack configuration on switches
