RSTP/MSTP
hi,
I have a topology in star with diférent switch Hp Procurve (5412zl, 5308xl, 2650,2610)
I wish to configure the core switch (5412zl) in root multiple spanning tree.
Possible to communicate me the configuration of the core switch and the other switchs in spanning tree (MSTP or RSTP).
Thank you,
King regards,

Re: RSTP/MSTP
Hi
MSTP and RSTP are different.
MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree) permit different configurations depending VLANs, and its possible to block one port for VLAN1, and permit for VLAN2.
RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree) is like STP traditional, but needs less time to reorganiza topology in case of link fail.
Is more easy to have the same type of STP in topology
Regards, Jorge
